A CELTIC CONCERT

Sunday 16th October 2022, 5-6.30

To celebrate her deep and abiding affection for Scotland

Mountains, wild coastal shores,

the scent of heather, the smell of seaweed

The concert was hosted in the Broadwell Church to commerate the life of the Queen and celebrate her affection for Scotland

With music presented by Jubovski (stars of Gypsy Music for Ukraine Appeal Concert):

Liz Cowdrey (violin),  Jub (double bass/tenor), Peter Cowdrey (piano); and supported by Douglas Mackintosh (bagpipes, see photo), Annabel Molyneaux (mezzo) and Sean Pertwee (narrator), we were treated to an evening of Celtic music, song and dance!

Featuring Scottish Fiddle Music and Songs, a Piper and an Eightsome Reel.

The audience took part with a rendition of The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond & Skye Boatsong

And just for fun, there was a tot of whisky available with the usual wine refreshments during the interval
