Visions of St Birgitta concert

Sunday 24th November:

Evensong from 5pm *** Concert from 6pm

Start your celebrations on 24th November in The Church of St Peter and St Paul, Broadwell, Lechlade GL7 3QS with:

St Birgitta's Vision, a dramatic community oratorio, world premiere
  • St Birgitta was a Swedish saint born in 1303, whose visions of the Nativity were a major influence on Western European fine art through many centuries.  Much of the oratorio text is taken from her writings.
  • There are over 50 performers ranging from members of local choirs and instrumental groups to professional soloists
  • The evening commences with a choral evensong at 5pm, followed by an interval, and St Birgitta's Vision (which lasts for 40 minutes) begins at 6pm
  • Tickets for St Birgitta's Vision can be purchased in advance or during the interval - full details on the poster
  • Those who would prefer not to come to the choral evensong are welcome to arrive during the interval (suggest 5.45)
  • Parking signposted from the road
All profits from St Birgitta's Vision will go to support and maintain the beautiful 12th/13th Church of St Peter and Paul.
